R-Type XBLA announced
Microsoft has just announced at Tokyo Game Show 08 the R-Type will be coming to Xbox Live Arcade.
The game will be called R-Type Dimensions and and you’ll be able to switch seamlessly between 2D and 3D graphics, apparently.
That’s definitely worth getting up at God-knows-what-time.

To counterpoint Blerk’s point of view. I think this looks awesome… and as you know Blerk hates everything by default you also know that his opinion is flawed as standard.
Q.E.D.
(Plus if you don’t like the new 2.5d graphics style you can switch back to the old one)

It’s not, it’s crap. Same shit, made rubbish with ridiculous graphical overhauls.
Should’ve been a whole new game, not retro nonsense. FAIL!

Your posts continue to be filled with a significant level of fail Blerk. Same shit, made rubbish?
Which is it? Shit to start with, or shit because of the new graphics?

R-Type was great. In 1987. Haven’t we all played it to death by now? It’s pretty clunky and very drab by modern shooter standards. I certainly don’t want to pay for it again.
They should’ve done a Space Invaders Extreme on it, or something. Or done something like Gradius V. Or just ported R-Type Final.
