EndWar for PC? “Yeah,” says de Plater
EndWar creative director Michael de Plater has said those waiting for a PC version of Tom Clancy’s EndWar have a good reason to smile.
“Yeah,” he said, when asked if it’s likely we’ll see a PC version somewhere down the line. “There’s no reason not to.”
The exec, speaking to VG247 at a London event last week, added that his previous experience at Total War developer Creative Assembly meant the voice-controlled RTS was very much rooted in PC strategy gaming.
“The stuff I worked on previously was Total War, which are PC games,” he said. “In many ways, gameplay-wise, it’s a modern warfare, Tom Clancy version of Total War.”
The game will be released for Xbox 360 and PS3 on November 7. We’ll have more from Michael throughout this week.

Good for him. There’s no reason to be platform exclusive really, especially since it’s so easy to reach a middle ground between all of the platforms at the moment – with perhaps a little tweaking to bring out each format’s strength.
I’m really pleased to see things like this, and if EndWar does arrive on the PC, I might just pick it up just for the bloody sake of it, to support such development ideals.
