New Xbox Experience: The games marketplace
GamerScoreBlog’s posted up some screens of the games marketplace in New Xbox Experience, and some of the current functionality, just for good measure.

Here’s a snapshot: When you go into the new Games Store this fall, you will be able to check out screenshots of the game, watch trailers and read the back-of-the-box description like you are shopping at a retail store. The Games Store will also display every available download for the game you are looking for. Let’s say you are looking at “Gears of War 2,” you will have all available Gears of War 2 options easily accessible such as: previews, trailers, gamerpics, themes, game add ons, game images. You’ll never need to search for the content you want.

I am really warming to this update.
You have to hand it to MS they just keep improving the experience.
OK it’s only appearances but it is way ahead of home imo.
£99 360 plus updates who is getting the better deal this gen?

I am – I’m getting the new dash, Home, Left4Dead, Fable 2, LittleBigPlanet – and I just got WipeOut Hd for £12 last week. Fuck fanboyism – buy em all I say.

Well yeah – true – I spent the dosh on the PS3 a year ago so I’m not feeling the pinch of that purchase anymore

It’s horrible… it’s not like I can’t afford it but I set up imaginary barriers for when a product becomes worth buying. It becomes a point of principal not to pay more.

Yeah I would like the ps3 as well but its just too expensive at the moment.

I just remember wanting to be convinced and then a mate of mine did some very poor sums comparing the 360 cost with yearly Live sub compared to the PS3 with nowt.
Obviously he didn’t know that stupid things like Qore or it’s UK equivalent were coming – nor did he realise at the time that the 360 would be down at £99 quid a year on :s
I wanted to cave in though – so I did.
