Nintendo “no comments” new DS chatter
Following a heavily detailed Nikkei piece on the 2008 release of a substantial DS hardware revision over the weekend, Nintendo’s pulled down the shutters.
“We are always developing new products,” the firm told Famitsu. “However, since nothing has been announced officially, we are unable to comment at this time.”
Yeah. We’re suspecting there may be something in this.
Thanks, Kotaku.

That’s as good as a confirmation for me.

There’s no way that Nikkei story’s wrong.

I recall Nintendo playing with semantics to deny the DS Lite up until a week before they smugly admitted that it existed and that it would be released almost immediately after the announcement.
My DS Lite screen’s scratched to buggery (too much Ouendan and Luxor) so I was considering a new one sooner or later anyway. Too much to play on my PSP at the mo.

Two touchscreens should make it even more appealing to lefties.
I want it. But hmm this would be a totally new handheld, instead of a DS revamp, right? Two touchscreens allow for new games not able to be played on the normal NDS.
How about “Nintendo DT”, double touch.
