Far Cry 2 “too complex” for a demo
Ubisoft’s Far Cry 2 isn’t far-off, but until the game actually launches, you’ll only be looking at the mutant-free shooter – not touching. In a live chat with the Eurogamer community, producer Louis-Pierre Pharand explained:
“No demos will be available. It became too complex to do a demo of an open-world game. We decided to put those efforts in the game, so that everyone can enjoy a better and more polished experience.”
Shame, too. We were really hoping to give this one a pre-release test drive. Our poor hearts aren’t ready for another Afrika-level disappointment just yet.

I dont think it needs a demo to sell anyhow… And how was Afrika disappointing? Its a game where you sneak around taking photos, you were exspecting a 10? Not to mention its a Eurogamer review…

I bought Afrika on the strength of the EG review!

Is it any good, morriss? Any problems understanding the game?
I’m sure it will pop up at my local game store sooner or later.

I’m waiting for it to be shipped from Yes-Asia.

this game just went a little further down my buy list. It’s the same thing they said about Assassin’s Creed, and it sucked. I’m not buying another bum game from Ubisoft. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
