Pokemon Platinum sells nearly 1 million in two days in Japan

pokemon2.jpg

According to Enterbrain figures, Pokemon Platinum has sold 967,675 copies in the first two days it’s been on sale in Japan. Which is probably an awful lot.

No idea on a European release date. Thanks, Kotaku.

You know, the phrase “license to print money” is banded around far too often these days. But when it comes to Nintendo..

Wait, is this ANOTHER Pokemon game?

Yes, and it’s just a rehash of pearl/diamond. A bit like Pokemon Yellow was a rehash of Red/Blue.

It’s like that episode of the Simpsons with Malibu Stacy, and everyone goes nuts for the new Malibu Stacy doll, when it’s basically just the exact same as the old doll, but with a plastic hat.
