Just like the inferior PS2 was the main development platform for cross-platform titles last generation because it was the market leader and released earlier, the 360 has taken that role this generation for the same reasons.

It was inevitable that the PS3 would catch up but it's taken a long time.

Look, all 360 fanboys just understand this. The 360 is fading in the background. The price drop was a last ditch effort to gain sales. It's failing in Europe , it's failing in Asia; the only place that it is doing good is good ole america. Peter Moore needs to watch his tongue because he's now working for a supposedly neutral software co. (EA). I'm going to boycott ea because he can't help but to try to give the xbox an advantage by making an inferior quality ps3 game compared to it's 360 counterpart. Even though the ps3 is new the hardware is better and the possibilities are being discovered. Whatever the ps2 was supposed to be the ps3 is and more !

Yes, but no one was ever claimin it was in-game. It was a teaser, and we've already seen the first shot of it. It's very comparable - if a tiny bit generic.

I suppose it's just something to show, without unveiling anything about the actual game.

They're not completely over their pre-rendered fixation, as the MAG unveil showed.

I think this generation has kicked Sony up the ass.

I don't think we'll be seeing anymore pre-rendered stuff cliaming to be in-game.

Although he's right, look at how much effort has been put into changing the console this time round. It's not a lazy PS2 effort. They are updating, hopefully Home and lots of things to make it competetive this generation.

And it's weird he talks about delivering, when there aren't any reviews out.

Loving these interviews, and I can perfectly understand why Sony pissed him off so much, with the emotion engine stuff and Killzone 2 footage. But then I still think it's a smart tactic, providing you get the balance between reality and fantasy right.

I think Sony have mostly got away with it for Killzone 2, because I don't think anybody expected Guerilla to deliver as closely as they have done to that original target footage, but it's still left a sour taste in many people's mouths, and I think the whole "target render" approach has become a wearisome trait of Sony, and something they need to fix for the next E3.
