Capcom confirms console exclusives are now in its past
In a fiscal 2008 report Capcom released tonight, the company said it won’t be releasing any more console exclusives in the future.
“All major titles launched during the next fiscal year or thereafter will be developed as multi-platform games,” reads Capcom’s shareholder report for its fiscal year 2008, which ended on March 31 of this year.
Henceforth, Capcom will develop many of its games using its internal MT Framework technology, “an integrated development environment built to provide common development tools for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC platforms.”
Good on Shacknews for digging through the most epic financial report in gaming history.

Oh, then they can focus on developing games for PS3 that don’t need a massive install before you can start.

Syrok: Bet they will manage to come up with the idea to install all versions on your system, and try and launch the correct one.

To be fair, it’s all too soon to say a single thing about exclusives.
In the current market exclusives aren’t understandable. But unlike people say there will never be a death of third party exclusives.
