PC Zone gives Crysis: Warhead 92%
PC Zone’s given Crysis: Warhead 92 percent, the first review score in the world, as far as we’re aware.
According to this piece:
With its budget price and improved multiplayer, there’s more than enough here to cheer nay-sayers.
One of the most striking things about Warhead is the way it shakes the template Crysis snowglobe and has its constituent parts drift and settle into surprising new patterns. In Crysis encounters with enemies were heavily cordoned off from each other, in Warhead anything goes.
It’s a frenzy of intelligent and original level design, far away from the Far Cry model that Crysis aped.”
There’s more through that CVG link. The game’s out this Friday in Europe.

I didn’t enjoy the first one, though it was very pretty. I wont be getting this one.

I am in the same boat.
I don’t need pretty graphics, I will just look at screenshots and be impressed for that.
But the gameplay was just not very imaginative.

I enjoyed Crysis, but I haven’t finished it. There’s a level after the aliens hit, where you have to escort your chief to heat sources. Can’t get past that bit (anyone know how much more there is after that) and the aliens just aren’t as much fun to fight.
