PSP loses Japanese monthly sales for first time since March
Enterbrain figures have shown that PSP lost out in the Japanese sales charts to DS in August, the first time the machine’s been beaten to the top of the pile since March.
Great month for 360, there, with sales fuelled by the release of Namco RPG Tales of Vesperia.
- PSP – 292,000
- DS – 333,000
- Wii – 181,000
- PS3 – 53,000
- 360 – 45,000
- PS2 – 45,000
Thanks, MCV.

If only there’d been more than 48 360s on the shelves they’d have beaten the PS3. Silly arses.

I’m sure they’d have milked the PR on that dry.

Press releases in 12 different languages, all with caps lock on. It could have been beautiful.

This doesn’t mean I’m a Microsoft fanboy. I’m just here for the news.

I cannot believe there are even that many people in Japan to buy all the handhelds. Maybe it’s a law there to own at least 4 of any kind?

Maybe they’re just really careless and keep losing/breaking them.
