Project Origin renamed F.E.A.R. 2
According to this IGN piece, Monolith and Warner Bros has renamed Project Origin.
To cut a long story short, the F.E.A.R. brand ended up with Vivendi but Monolith was bought by Warner Bros. Now Acti-Bliz has formed, the name came back on the market, and Warner bought it. Project Origin’s name has, therefore, been replaced with the moniker it was alway supposed to have.
Clear? Good. More through the link.

I’m cautiously anticipating this game. I liked FEAR, but it got too repetitive for me to bother finishing – multiplayer was great fun, though.

I knew they’d do that. I really did!

Hurrah!
The name Project Origin was the best of the bad bunch that were put forward but it was still a lame idea to not buy the name F.E.A.R though that was also the lame idea of Vivendi Games to pursue the F.E.A.R universe with its own games after the split with monolith.
Fear was one of my favourite games,I much preferred it over other big name FPS titles it really needed to be played on the harder difficulty settings to appreciate it. Also I thought the story kicked ass definitely better than the yawn fest in Hale Life or Halo.

I had high hopes for this game but thought it lost it’s appeal half way through.
Maybe I should have played it on hard as the demo blew me away.
When I played the demo I got it immediatly.

Well, thank Christ for that. F.E.A.R. was a bad enough name, Project Origin was so completely terrible that it melted my bland-o-meter.
