EyePet – First official shots released
SCEE’s released the first shots of EyePet, the next-gen EyeToy game it announced at Games Convention last month.
The title was shown off during Sony’s press conference, and looked very cool, truth be told. A family was seen playing with a customisable monkey, as you can see in the screens.
After the break.

It really did look cool when they showed it. Seemed very responsive. Not sure what happens it you try to beat it up, however.

You could catch a real rat for less.

And then you’d get to kill it in real-time.

I was eating a sandwich when I looked at those rats.
I am not squeamish but it really put me off.
Anyway, atleast they are tapping into the nintendo market in classic Sony style by making new products. This just looks alright, but obviously it’s not aimed at my demographic.
I woudl want to try it for the tech side, so if it’s downloadable, and I have a PSEye by then (or can use an Eyetoy) then I will have a fiddle.

So I’m alone in wishing that Sony wouldn’t waste their time on money on shit like this, then?

Shit like this and the WiiFit is shit.
But no one knows about it’s worth in the market.
And I a little birdy told me the guy behind ICO and Shadow of the COlossus was the mastermind with the plan. Who was then totally uninvolved and SCEE got to work on it.

SCEE seem to do a better job at capturing the casual market than the rest of Sony does.
