Kingdom Hearts 3 rumoured as PS3 exclusive

OPM is apparently rumouring that Square’s Kingdom Hearts 3 will be a PS3 exclusive. The game is to be shown at TGS, says the mag.

It’s worth noting that both previous Kingdom Hearts games have been PlayStation-exclusive, so this isn’t the daftest idea in the world.

I thought the team behind this were working on FFXIII Versus? Not that I’m hugely bothered, more Kingdom Hearts is a good thing.

But Kingdom Hearts is also a huge seller in the US. The same “we want to reach the largest possible audience” argument that they levelled at FFXIII could equally be applied here. I reckon it’ll either be on both hi-defs or just the Wii. If I had to put money on it, I’d go with the Wii option.

It could be both. They’re not exactly afraid of their spin-offs these days. I’d quite look forward to that actually, Kingdom Hearts Wii would be an acid test for the Wiimote. If the controls worked at least as well as they did on the PS2 I might finally stop being afraid of the waggle filled future.
