The whole ‘exclusive DLC’ thing is getting a bit silly. If the game’s multi-platform, the DLC should be too.

It is stupid. Who gives a fuck? If you’ve got a 360, you’re hardly likely to buy a PS3 for it. Senseless dick-waving.

This is what happens when you’re too cheap to moneyhat proper exclusives. :)

So we’ve got GTA, Fallout 3 and now Mirrors Edge. Can’t they just call a truce or something on this sort of BS tactic.

@Pat: quite. The only people who this will influence are the people who already have both machines. Nobody’s going to base their console-purchasing decision on DLC.

Exclusive DLC is bullcrap.
Sad to see EA join this stupid bandwagon. :(

Console exclusive games, let alone DLC are bloody stupid in this day and age where big projects fail to sell.

I know you guys seem to disagree, but when both Sony and Microsoft people are saying that console exclusives are a thing of the past, exclusive DLC is a good way to differentiate between the same game on different platforms. It’s a lot cheaper for everyone concerned.

Yeah, some of us do have both consoles, so it’ll be Fallout on the Xbox 360 and Mirror’s Edge on the PlayStation 3 for me.

Think this is a new thing? Think again – remember Silent Hill 2 getting the exclusive extras treatment on the Xbox (I know, there was a version on the PlayStation 2 too) and it happened a lot more than you might remember.

I don’t understand the grumbles, surely this is a good thing for us? Unless you don’t own a PlayStation 3 of course…

Aside from this stuff being bullshit, I’d really love to see some hard data about the install-base of multi-platform gamers. I myself am one (360 & PS3).

How many Gamers (%) are having both HD-consoles (360 & PS3) ?
Depending on these numbers, exclusive DLC could make some sense for the respective platform-holders …

Quiiick: I’d wager it’s no more than 10% of the total userbase for the PS3 / 360, probably less.
