Gears 2 is “85/90%” complete and “batshit insane,” says Bleszinski

Epic’s Cliff Bleszinski has told UK mag Xbox World 360 that Gears of War 2 in almost done. Almost.

“We’re basically at the 85/90% polish stage right now, doing some last minute optimisations,” he said.

“I boot the game up every morning and go through Campaign mode, making sure it’s all stitched together and batshit insane.”

I wonder how long it’ll take me to get the 100,000 kills achievement???

I’ve only got around 68,000 kills on COD4, and I’ve been playing it since it got released!

It’s only 10,000 on the first Gears.

I didn’t do it though, and still can’t atm, since I’ve lent my copy of Gears to someone, and he won’t give it back!

I tried Gears the other day for the second time. The first time was when it was first released. The graphics were pretty great.

I’d like to see how much they can change in Gears 2 when we get the inevitable comparisons.

Well I think it will look a little bit better than that in the final version, so I will wait.

And I also want to see these destructable environments, and how they are applied within the engine modification.
