I think it’s about time EG did some work on their servers really. They seem incapable of handling any major event these days.

If I were them right now I’d take everything but the beta pages temporarily offline. Deal with the traffic spike and then put the site back together.

Eurogamers shows 4500 people active. Which is a lot less than I thought the site could handle.

Newbie, EG got taken down by the GC liveblog recently… and just about every other moderately exciting thing prior to that. There’s a reason we say it’s powered by hamsters.
