PlayTV gets 8/10 on Eurogamer

Eurogamer has reviewed Sony’s new set-top box, PlayTV, giving it 8/10.

This of course means the all singing, all dancing, record-the-telly-whilst-you-play-Resistance 2, £69.99 wonder is as good as Halo and MGS4, but not quite as good as GRID or Splinter Cell: Double Agent.

However, if that doesn’t sell it you, you can read more about it through the link.

PlayTV will be available in the UK from September 10.

It’s better than Double Agent on the PS3, Mike.

For sure, that is without a doubt the worst Ps3 game I own.
I had such high hopes after the fantastic Chaos Theory.

The sad thing is that if you ported it now that Epic’s fixed UE3 on PS3, it’d be fine. But it isn’t.

The sad thing is the game sucked on the 360 too.

I really liked it, tbh. Agreed with Mr. Reed.

Did you play Chaos Theory? Becuase that would explain why you weren’t disapointed.

Again, I mean the Xbox version, the graphics were beauitful.

Preferred it to Chaos Theory, tbh.

Soundtrack, storyline and gimmicks?

That’s amazing. Chaos Theory had a beautiful soundtrack, still frequently featured in Top Gear, the narrative was superb and far more realistic thank Double Agent and it was an uncluttered entertaining game.

Double Agent added gimmick meters and gimmick levels. And somehow the fluidity of control was lost.
