Ubi to use IKONOS satellite shots in HAWX
Ubisoft is to use images taken by the spectacularly named IKONOS satellite as backdrops for Tom Clancy’s HAWX, the company’s announced.
According to a press statement, the IKONOS – makes us hard – satellite has been used for “US national security, mapping, air and marine transportation, environmental monitoring and insurance risk management.”
IKONOS – doesn’t fail – began snapping images in late 1999. Some of the satellite’s images can be seen here.
Thanks, Edge.
