Looks very frustrating and all BITTY. Loads of half-arsed gameplay elements stitched together to be almost as ugly as the visual design.

Look at the ‘Monster Truck’ and ‘Car Soccer’ videos as well. Dreadful. It all looks like Street Racer on the SNES with Interstate 76′s physics bolted on top for added frustration.

el Croux: I think you’re getting ahead of yourself. Read the hands on articles done by various sites and impressions from people who have played this at X08 in Canada. It’s supposed to work very well and be a lot of fun to play.

Psychotext, I know you like the game, but to everyone else without the bias this particular video does it very little justice, or exposes it for the sub-par game it is.

I’ll let the reviews decide.

Admittedly I am a little biased against, ever since the Rare Gamersyde Interview talking about it.

No_Pud – I agree that this vid does it no justice, but then I’ve watched all the other vids that do. If you’re going to take this video in a vacuum and ignore all the other positive press / decent vids then of course the game is going to look sub par.

540BLACK – You really need to get that keyboard fixed.

The press I have read hasn’t been positive. It’s been hopeful.

And this looks not to much fun, like the last video. Big spaces with nothign do do, but play with dodgy physics.

Like you said No_PUD, you’re biased against it. Cross it off your list and move on.

Like I said, I will wait for reviews. My bias is only having seen the very average videos and havign no experience of the series.

Just for future reference… what’s an acceptable review score for this?

I’ll be impressed if it’s 8+.

I don’t mean that judging from the gameplay. I mean ANY game 8+ I think is an impressive review. Acceptable would be 7+.

I think it’ll be 8 – 9 from most places. Metacritic of 86% 1 month after release.
