Looking good. I noticed it’s moved up to pre-beta now, and whilst it’s great that it looks as nice as it does, the frame rate also seems rock solid, which is important.

This Game is Unrealistic, The AI is Sooooooooo Stupid , how can you run and kill everyone we got sick of games with bullshit, this title is big, should have been better , another thing , the game play is indoor or in closed area, not like like the 05 trailer which showed an open world environment . the game play is almost a copy from call of duty 4 , which is suck , no descent cover system jut run and shoot yuck

Impressive use of punctuation. Did you have a load of commas you needed to use up or something?
AI is a bit suspect but currently attributable to the fact this was a show floor demo pod where the difficultly levels are set to easy. There is actually a cover system in there – as seen in other vids, it’s just the person playing is not using it. Not many FPS’s have actually utilised a decent cover system – so will be interesting to see how this one works out.

Killzone2 never appeared to be anything new. A purely pretty copy of CoD4 (an already stunning game)will be fine with me. And to be honest, it was in development long before CoD4, and certainly was shown when COD4 was shown.
And the multiplayer sounds stunning.

@DrDamn,
@ 5:05 from the trailer you shot the guy in the back couples of bullets and then you turn around and he still looking or shooting out of the window,I mean What Kind of AI they have Ha.. ?!!! even its on the easy mode, this is ridicules this is a low level of gameplay ever made, did u See the AI in Crysis for Example ?!!!! , and about cover system whats wrong with Rainbow six cover system its realistic and reasonable, this is not a 2009 game maybe 2004 but not 2009,

Judging games by a video of some random person playing. Well done.

Stick to other games then, you won’t sway my opinion unfortunately.
I am lookign forward to this mroe than Resistance 2 and Gears 2… mainly becuase I am not lookign forward to eitehr of those. I probably won’t even get R2, but I am sure I’ll get a chnace to play Gears 2.

Cool.
Now THAT looks like a killer app!
It seems (and I mean seems… I still need to see how this scores in reviews) that finally, after all this time, there’s a reason to buy a PS3.
Although the loading pauses definitely need to go!

Killer App? Killzone2?
Why don’t people love LittleBigPlanet like I do? I’d predict it’s the ONLY killer app this generation so far.

Looked like he was reloading to me. Just before that coming across bridge there was a couple of good examples of the cover system in use – but feel free to ignore those if it helps your argument.

To me, LBP just looks like a straightforward 2D platformer when you take off all the novelties.
I think I’ve pretty much done everything a 2D platformer could possibly throw at me since I played my first Mario game about 16 years ago…
These days, side-scrolling and jumping is good fun on the DS, but I think that a game needs to be a bit more ‘next-gen’ for me to want to buy a whole console just to play it.

Bu…bu… but.
Nevermind.
If you think this is a killerapp and get a PS3 for it, PROMISE ME you will get LittleBigPlanet.

There is a massive amount of “novelties” you are ignoring in putting it down as a straight forward 2D platformer. The fact that since that Mario game came out 16 years ago there have been and will be plenty more very successful 2D platformers means that maybe you are in the minority there.
Fine – if you don’t fancy the game type then fair enough, but to label it a “straight forward 2D platformer” is to do it a big disservice.

Nah, I meant that since I first played Super Mario Brothers 3 around 16 years ago, I’ve played every single Mario (platform) game since (I used to be a Nintendo fanboy). I’m sure that loads of people will enjoy LBP, but for me personnally, I feel like I’ve done side-scrolling platform games to death.
I used to enjoy them, and still do to a certain extent, but there’s only so much gameplay that can be sucked out of the ability to run and jump on a (mostly) 2D plane.
I suppose all I was commenting on was that there doesn’t seem to be much more to the core gampelay of LBP than running and jumping sideways. The level making stuff looks cool, but surely the most important part of the game is playing on those levels that you’ll be making.
Anyway, I’m holding off forming too heavy an opinion of it until the reviews, but those are my personal feelings from what I’ve seen so far.
@ No_PUDding
No promises, but I’ll make it second on my list unless something bigger and better comes along… Deal?

“… but surely the most important part of the game is playing on those levels that you’ll be making.”
Maybe that’s that BIG difference there with LBP:
Building those levels is MORE important than playing them …

G1GAHURTZ, that’s fien with me, but if you don’t get it, it’s no one but your own loss.
I want to game becuase it;s funny. I can create and I can download nigh on limitless levels, and create mechanics our of the tools given.
That’s why it’s amazing, becuase there are certain ingenious individuals who will amke a riviting experience outside of the storyline.

What’s happened? I go away for three days and the comments board turns into a sixth-form common room. I can literally cut the testosterone in here.
Certainly looks amazing. AI does look a little bit dodgy in places but yeah, this would have been on super easy and they’re still pre-beta.
