PSP Parasite Eve detailed in latest Famitsu

Well, kind of. IGN gave the Square Enix-flavored Famitsu article a read, and found that Parasite Eve: The 3rd Birthday will be a third-person shooter.

Fear not, however, for the game’s quality, as project director Hajime Tabata described the game as a “true third-person shooter” – straying far from the path that Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus awkwardly stumbled down.

Also, as you’d expect of a firearm-centric game, wireless multiplayer is “being considered” for The 3rd Birthday, though further details are still being hammered out.

Square Enix hasn’t nailed down a release date for the game just yet, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted.

Hmm… this isn’t the Parasite Eve most people will have been hoping for, I suspect.
