Duke Nukem XBLA finished, released “soon”

3D Realms’ George Broussard has told Shacknews that Duke Nukem XBLA is finished and will be released “soon.”

“We officially passed final cert on our first try Friday, August 15th,” said Bruossard.

When asked about price, he said: “about what you’d expect.” So anywhere between 800 and 1200 Points, we’d imagine.

According to the official site, the game is now in the hands of Microsoft.

Hail to the hideous blocky sprites, baby.

Seriously, does anyone in this day and age really want to play this again?

Depends on what they have done with it. Straight port and I think it should be priced at 400MSP – but I expect it will be 800 MSP. Will download trial to remember the good times, but as with Doom will unlikely buy the full game.

I reckon it will sell shed-loads.

I’m sure it will. People are stupid.

Doom was great on XBLA, this could turn out ok if they’ve done a half decent job on converting it.
