Codemasters announces FUEL
Codemasters has announced FUEL, a new racing game for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 scheduled for release sometime in 2009.
In development at France-based Asobo Studios, FUEL is set in an “alternate present” where the earth has been decimated by the adverse effects of climate change. Petrol prices are sky-high so you must race to win, you guessed it, FUEL.
Codemasters promises “the largest environment ever created in race gaming” and a seamless “no-boundaries playfield” covering over 5,000 square miles.
Impressive.

DIRT.. GRID… it was gonn abe FUEL next. We all could have guessed.
Hopefully at the end of the generation theyc reate a game that mould them all togther that is an analogy for all the titles put togther.

Three things they need to get absolutely bang on first go
1) the netcode. Cross platform gaming is only any good if the netcode is rock solid
2) Vehicle handling. If it’s even remotely like GRiD I’ll be as happy as a pig in shit
3) Immersive environments. Plenty of stuff kicking around like in Motorstorm. Only without the tearing

Agreed Blerk, and that can’t go far wrong. Infact it’s the thing I disliked abotu Motorstorm, havign watched the CG trailers.
I expected to drive through deserts.
