It also has the problem that the original was such a good game for it's time that it'll be hard to live up to the expectations. If it had been any cop i'd have bought it but the reports of control issues and other problems put me off. Was it rushed or flawed? It could be amazing, and should be. I think we're heading for a bit of a horror "shake-up," tbh. RE5 looks like a proper genre-endgame title, Silent Hill looks like its hit a wall and AitD's run out of steam as well. I liked what the Darkworks chaps said about breaking conventions. There's another comment later on in that interview about "bad habits." Interesting that Funcom and CCP are both putting their next MMOs in the genre too. Yeah, I agree. It's be interesting to see someone take AitD back and try to do something a bit more 'grass roots' with it. Something more in the style of the originals, in a next-gen style.
