GRID will generate £32 million in revenue, says Codies boss

Codemasters head Rod Cousens told attendees to this week's Edinburgh Festival that Race Driver: GRID cost “about £6.8 million” to develop while forecasting it will generate £32 million in revenue.

He also showed Operation Flashpoint to the crowd, saying the action game cost more than the celebrated racer but still fell short of the $20 million plus "mega" category.

“Flashpoint was more expensive than GRID but it won’t cost us $20m to develop – and yet we can compete with games made with three to five times that budget,” he said.
