Castle Crashers to cost 1,200 MS Points

castlecrashers.jpg

According to this Destructoid story – ripped from this NeoGAF thread – Castle Crashers is to be priced at 1,200 MS Points on XBLA.

“The price for Castle Crashers will be 1,200 Microsoft points,” said developer Dan Paladin. “This month’s only online multiplayer XLA game launches on Wednesday, August 27th, 2008, so get ready to grab some friends and prepare to smash stuff!”

The pricing comes after Braid cost 1,200 Points, much to the ire of people who don’t like seeing things cost more than they used to. Plenty more through the link.

Mildly better than 1800 it was going to cost.

So where are those idiots who said Braid wouldn’t set a precedent?

Good way of psychologically softening the blow then in that case. “It’s going to be 1800 points” when first announced. Now it’s “dropped” to 1200 points.

How could Braid be a precedent when there have been 1200pt games before it as well as a 1600pt game?
