Braid up on Live
The Major’s announced that Braid is now available for download on Live. Eurogamer gave the arty platformer a 10 this morning, so at least try the demo. The full game’s 1,200 MS Points.

I think it’s still too early because my brain is being utterly mangled by some of the puzzles. \o/

I’ll try the demo but I doubt I’ll pay 1,200 for a XBLA game… despite how good it is.

Are you enjoying it, PT? Besides being stuck, obv.

Well, not stuck. You can progress without all the puzzle pieces then go back for them after. It’s brilliant. Love the art, love the music and some of the puzzles are just O_o on the old brain.
Newbie: It’s £2.65 more than an 800pt game. Hardly worth losing sleep over.

On XBLA? I wish I could get
I wondered where that suited guy was from. Someone had him as their avatar.

No_PUDding: No 360?
Well the game is only £158 in your case… go go!

Glad you are also UK.
I am tired of pound:dollar ever chnaging exchange rates.
Anyway.. Maybe if I liked Gears 2. But I played Gears recently, and I think maybe the game starved community back in ’06 thought more of it, than it actually was. Certainly didn’t do much for me.
Great gore though.

i’ll have me some of this, i seem to be playing Live Arcade and PSN games more than anything else on the consoles at the moment and there seems to be a glut of quality popping up too

Me too. I only have PSN though. And LittleBigPlanet will appeal to that same audience of me, so I can’t wait for that.
Such a girly game, but I don’t care. I want flower. Flower looks so awesome.
Eden is awesome, as is Monsters. And as for Fat Princess. Well I am sold.

Yeah, PSN / XBLA rock. My fave part of this generation by a long way.

I’m sure its a good game (looking at other reviews, they think its great also but more the 80% mark) but not at 1200 points.

It’ll be interesting to see what the PC version sells for when it comes out. Especially as this is a ‘premium’ Live game. On top of the premium of the cost of Live, that is.

Shatner: Cost of Live… which you don’t need to either play this game or buy it?
Try harder.
Newbie: http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/xbox360/braid
…and that’s not including the 9 from Edge.

Shatner: Cost of Live? Which you don’t need to either buy, or play Braid… what are you going on about?
Newbie: 88% average at metacritic, without the 9 from Edge. Doing pretty damn well.

Shatner: What does the price of Live gold have to do with this game? You don’t need it to buy it, and you don’t need it to play it.
Slightly more on topic. Just finished this… one of the most pure and enjoyable gaming experiences I’ve ever had. Absolutely fantastic. Looking forward to getting some speed runs down. \o/
