“No going back” on Diablo III colour choice, says develeper
Despite the fact that 52,000 Diablo fans have signed a petition saying they want Diablo III to adopt a more “gritty” style, lead designer Jay Wilson has said in no uncertain terms that you can scream and cry all you want: it’s not going to make any difference.
“There’s no going back now,” he told MTV. “We’re very happy with how the art style is. The art team’s happy. The company’s happy. We really like this art style, and we’re not changing it.”
More through the link, assuming you can read through the veil of tears.

Good. They should convert the petition into a hit list.

I really liked the dark and gloomy atmosphere of Diablo 2 more.

I agree w/ Chinster, a cheers to the fellow gamers/designers at blizzard .. its their game not the rest of the world. and they havent led us wrong in the past. All of you 52000 people, If you want a diablo game thats more “gritty” start up game design company, comeup with an original idea and make it yourselves, until then STFU

Yep, agree. The game looks amazing. Very obviously, Blizzard knows best.
