Boom Blox has sold 450,000 units, says EA

In its first quarter earnings call last night, EA said that Spielberg Wii puzzler Boom Blox has now sold more that 450,000 units.

The game was feared to have tanked after week one sales were shown at 60,000 copies when it released earlier this year.

Thanks, Kotaku.

Let’s see how fast this goes from Overlooked Gem to Rubbish Minigame now that it is selling.

Bet that was mainly US where it was sensibly priced. I picked it up last week for a reasonable price and it’s an absolute corker of a game – great fun – just not the type of game which should ever have been sold on the Wii at £40.

If it was mainly in the US then surely it would have shown up on the NPDs. It is good to hear it’s being priced sensibly now.
