MCV gets Games Convention media sponsorship

Intent’s announced that MCV will be a full Games Convention media partner this year.

MCV will do the event’s show daily mag, according to the company, and will also sponsor the GC Business Center and Marketplace areas.

GC – Games Convention Appoints MCV as Media Partner

Leading European games trade publication and website MCV has sealed a wide-ranging media partnership with this year’s GC – Games Convention in Leipzig.

MCV: The Market for Computer & Video Games is a UK-based publication, but has an unrivalled international readership amongst retailers, distributors, media and financial community. It is a weekly print title but also a powerful business website (http://www.mcvuk.com) with Daily News service. A special print edition of MCV will be published on Friday August 15th fully previewing the Leipzig event and boasting extra circulation in numerous areas around the show – including the GC Business Center and its new Marketplace area.

MCV, published by Intent Media, will also have representatives attending the show via a booth within the Marketplace (hall 1, booth no. The GC – Games Convention is Europe’s benchmark fair for interactive entertainment, infotainment, edutainment and hardware. From 21 to 24 August 2008, manufacturers and publishers occupy four exhibition halls, the Glass Hall and the outdoor area at the Leipzig Exhibition Centre to present the latest developments from the game industry. Parallel to this show, ordering for Christmas business will be under way in the GC Business Center, the trade visitor area at the event. The GC is open from 9.00 to 18.00 on Thursday and Sunday. On the Friday and Saturday of the fair, opening time extends to 20.00. Trade visitors are already invited to visit GC – Games Convention on Wednesday, 20 August, from 9.00 to 19.00 for the exclusive trade visitor and media day.
