PS3 Platinum range for August 1 in Europe

According to this Eurogamer piece, PlayStation 3’s Platinum budget range is launch in Europe on August 1.

The info comes from tonight’s SCEE press event at E3.

The games are to cost £20 each.

Initial first-party games will be Resistance: Fall of Man, Heavenly Sword, MotorStorm, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and Ratchet & Clank 3.

Virtua Tennis 3 from SEGA and Assassin’s Creed from Ubisoft will be the first third party titles, followed by WWE SmackDown vs. RAW 2008 “later in September”.

£20 is good - less than I was expecting. I thought they’d use the opportunity to sneak them up to £25.

Oh…wow…now I can’t wait for this, I will probably buy Resistance again.

Hopefully Play et al will be doing them for £15. I’ll happily complete Uncharted again for the trophies, sad that I am. Don’t care much for the other games, tbh.
