Miyamoto: “We’re making Pikmin”

According to approximately 8,000 reports, Shigeru Miyamoto tonight said, “We’re making Pikmin” in the Nintendo roundtable event for press at E3.

That’s it. There’s no detail at all.

The last released Pikmin game was Pikmin 2, way back in 2004.

Could be Pikmin 3, could be Pikmin DS, could be My Pikmin Ranch.

Still, nice to have confirmation. (It’d better be the former.)

That’s all that happened? The way people were on about it I was expecting a big reveal and screenies and videos and everything.

Says something about Nintendo’s conference that this small crumb of comfort has people all excited.

But then it is Pikmin, and Pikmin is/are awesome.
