GTTV to launch on August 1

SCEA just confirmed that Gran Turismo TV will launch on August 1, viewable through GT5 Prologue.

The service will featur free and pay-per-view content, including things like a look into the Ferrari factory, car reviews, and more.

Does anyone know if this is only accessible through the game? it seems a bit strange to put something like this inside a game rather than making it accessible from the console itself (e.g the Sony Store or anywhere on the XMB)

There will also be some fixes in the update and six new songs, according to the official side
