Widescreen DS is bulls**t, says NIS

There is no widescreen DS, NIS has confirmed to Joystiq. Talk of a new SKU sprang up (sort of) earlier this week after a Disgaea DS ad apparently showed a new model. It was a Photoshop, obviously.

"We placed screenshots on a DS backing to emphasize the platform, and edited them for effect," said NIS’s Nao Zook. "These games are specifically for the current Nintendo DS, and as far as we know, there is no 'widescreen DS' in the works."
