Battlefield: Bad Company stats mysteriously deleted

battlefieldbadcompany8.jpg

Several people are complaining on EA’s Battlefield: Bad Company forums that all their stats and weapon unlocks have been deleted.

However the plucky Eurogamer forumites have found a solution:

You simply use this link – http://badcompany.ea.com/myprofile/xbox/****/ – replacing the ‘****’ with your Gamertag or if you’re a PS3 owner, replace the words ‘xbox’ with ‘ps3′ and the ‘****’ with your PSN ID and your stats should magically reappear.

No official word from EA at this point.

All gone (the link above with alterations just leads to a “The soldier you were looking for could not be found.” message) and EA’s website is saying again that my Gamertag isn’t linked to my EA account when it most certainly fucking is as I had to get EA support to fix it last week.

EA sort this shit out now you tits.

Problem is you need to login, then we face another problem: the login page is down.

You should really do a big story on the cock-up that has been the find-all-five unlocks and the Gold release here in the uk. For a start one of the find-all-five required you pre-order the game, but they made it exclusive to Play.com. They also have 5 guns unlockable by reaching max rank or by buying the gold edition – but this one they made exclusive to HMV. So in the UK it was not possible to get all the unlocks at the start without buying two copies of the game.

There are other cock-ups like the people who got a pre-order code which doesn’t work. Issues linking your gamertag to your account – I too had to contact EA support to sort it out. Then the code it should give you for that not arriving.

It was a reasonably nice idea, but cocked up on so many fronts.

I’m logged into EA just fine, the stats and my Gamertag link are gone.

And this is the same people who want to do Sporepeadia online.

They’re an absolute joke and not a funny one either.

Reportedly the stats are back up in the game. The website however is currently having ‘Network problems’.
