Games industry catching up to the US home video market

GI is reporting that the Entertainment Merchant Association annual report shows the games industry is catching up in sales to the home video market in the US.

The US video market generated $24 billion in 2007 whereas the videogames market raked in $15.64 billion, the only difference being that the videogames market figure doesn’t include rentals.

wouldnt it be alot more with rentals?

I guess it would be, but I have no idea on how big the games rentals business is in the US.
