Firmware 2.40 contains PS Store revamp
According to this PS3F post, the now-released PS3 Firmware 2.40 contains some new PS Store features. The shop now runs far smoother than it did previously, apparently, and also now includes a new viewing mode.

No mention of the juddering whilst the XMB is being accessed in-game I see or the fact that it takes a while to “load”.

I think, unfortunetly, thats expected. A bit like the one you get on the 360 when bringing the blades up.

i’ll guess games that come out post 2.40 will probably deal with it better
