According to this GameRush report, SCEA’s promised that more MGS4 bundles are on the way to the States, a move necessary as the pack is much sought-after.
“While we can’t provide specifics on inventory levels, the Metal Gear Solid 4 PlayStation 3 bundle is a limited-edition offering that’s experiencing high demand from Metal Gear and PlayStation enthusiasts,” said the company.
“We’re pleased with the strong consumer interest in the bundle and are working to ensure that additional shipments are provided to retailers.”
The bundle has currently sold out in the US, but more are promised by early July.

I really hope Sony recognise the demand that’s out there for the 80GB model and offer it to other territories as well. I don’t expect them to, obviously, but this is the first time the PS3 has actually been offered in a genuinely desirable bundle configuration, so they shouldn’t be surprised it’s actually selling.

I was under the impression that the 80gb wasn’t actually being manufactured any more.

There’s still a part of me that really wants one, but I’m increasingly looking at my PC as my “serious” gaming platform and my Wii as the “fun in front of the telly”.
Aside from quite wanting to play GTAIV and MGS4, I think I could quite easily give the PS3 a miss until it gets relaunched as a cheaper PSThree or something, by which time I might have bought a new HD telly too.
So Blerk - when are you getting your 360?
