Alone in the Dark 360 demo “in the coming weeks”

Nope.

Which is probably why they’re hurrying out a demo!

I’m going to try the demo, definitely.

I expect them to release the first one or two chapters as a demo. Which, quite frankly, are the reason for most of the threes and fours, I reckon.

Seems to be the way to do things at the mo. Lacklustre first-week sales – rush out a demo but not before the game’s release just in case more mug punters who accidentally buy games from Zavvi based on the box art might pick it up.

Another Danish site gave it 5/10. In case anyone still cares about review scores.

It’s currently at 69/100 on Metacritic. Not quite the triple-A that Phil promised us.

Edit: And there don’t appear to be any reviews at all of the Wii version. What’s that all about, then?

Could just be that THQ know the Wii version’s so detestable that they only sent PS3 / 360 review copy out. It’s often the case.

Are we still talking about the same game?

There is no “PS3 review copy”.

And it’s not from THQ either. Hence my question.

Tell, tell.

There’s no conspiracy here, just what I’ve read in the various interviews with Eden. The way they talk about it it just sounds like they’ve done “round about bugger all” on the PS3 version. All this talk about “optimisation, etc.” is just smoke and mirrors – they’ve not started the damn thing.

LOL – Well there’s lovely! At least PS3 owners have been spared one more nasty cross-platform hatchet job.
