JRPGs have a new home.

You might be right. I’ve started keeping a spreadsheet to help me decide which machine to buy. You’d be surprised.

I’ll buy you Gears of War 2 for Christmas.

It’s quite disappointing, actually. The games I want are almost evenly spread across both platforms. I only wanted one, but it looks like I might not be able to avoid getting both. Bollocks.

Again, 360s are dirt cheap, atm. And there’re are plenty of games to start playing. Next year, when the PS3 has the library and another price cut, get that.

Spreading it out over 2 years means a) you’ll get it cheaper and b) it won’t feel like loads of money.

PS3 currently scoring 29, 360 scoring 25. BUT plenty of those PS3 titles are pie-in-the-sky-who-knows-when-they’ll-be-released games, as opposed to the 360 list which is much more imminent.

Sony have really cocked it up this gen, haven’t they? They drove me to Microsoft.

You really should buy the HDMI arcade, a cheap HDD off Ebay and you can pick up Eternal Sonata for about a tenner used. Game on.

Spending probably another £250 on a PS3 in 12 months time when those titles are more imminent will seem like peanuts.

I reckon if you’re into JRPGs it’s a no-brainer. You’re going to need to buy a 360 at some point.

I’m kinda hoping they’ll announce a cheaper, quieter 360 at E3. With a bigger hard drive. Perhaps I hope for too much?

Reliable pretty much isn’t an issue now. You might get a bigger hard drive announcement though.
