Rumour: MS to allow XNA devs to use avatars for free

A source has told VG247 that Microsoft will allow XNA developers to use Xbox Live’s now-rumoured Mii-cloning Avatars for free.

We’ve also been told that Avatars will have ready-to-use animations in place such as run, walk, jump, and “break-it-down”, the last one being a bit of a shame.

In case you’ve only just got out of bed, research firm Intellisponse had its site “opened up” last night, leading to a torrent of rumours about titles such as Forza 3 and a new Singstar clone called Lips.

glol at ‘break-it-down’! Almost as bad as Home’s ‘embarrassing Dad dance’.

That press conference is going to be the best thing ever. The internet’s going to melt.

I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if tens of amateur domino developers suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.

At least an embarrassing dad dance is meant to be bad. The name ‘Break-it-down’ is far too open to ridicule.
