Hands-on with Infinite Undiscovery

IGN’s posted a hands-on piece on Square Enix JRPG Infinite Undiscovery from yesterday’s Xbox 360 RPG Premiere event in Tokyo. It can be pretty summed up thus:

Infinite Undiscovery has a whole lot of new, but there are also a few staple elements that we’ve come to expect from a Square Enix game. While the game isn’t so hot on a technical level, with a less-than-ideal framerate, the art direction alone makes this a true looker. The visual experience is particularly inspired during the sweeping CG intro, which begins by following a bird through that massive city tower we’ve seen in all the trailers, giving a feel for how big the tower really is.

Have a read. The game’s out in September.

Still not sold on this. Hopefully it’s good, but being dependant on NPC AI is rarely a good thing. Being at risk while menu fiddling sounds rubbish as well.
