I’m glad I stopped playing EVE. I loved it, but it’s the most time-consuming game I’ve ever played. Such a mad invention.

I’ve played Jumpgate, Neocron, Planetside, WoW, Eve and currently I’m trying Age of Conan.

Out of all those I’ve found Eve to be the least time consuming and largely the least stressful … till my armour goes to red and my guns cant track the interceptor and all my hard work threatens to go pop /o\

I realised the other day that I’ve probably played, even if only for a short period of time, well over a dozen MMOs, I started with Meridian 59 for crying out loud! Until Jumpgate Evolution or APB comes out I just can’t get any enthusiasm for the genre now though.

Ok, I’m an ultra newbie.

Why? I started playing EVE until I found out I can’t actually control my ship. Then, I stopped. Silly I know, but still.

Muerko: Maybe it was just me. I sank a hell of a lot of time into it. I played it for six months and suddenly just said “no more”. I’m playing WoW at the moment and I’m finding it far less stressful.

i suppose we can choose to blame the game for all the time we played it but ultimately how ‘into’ the game we get is down to us
