We’re saying nothing. Nothing at all. After the link you’ll see box art for the Japanese Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Soul Calibur IV. And that’s that.

Bizarre. Anyone looking at this would think it was “Soul Calibur vs Star Wars” as opposed to a Soul Calibur game with a few bonus Star Wars characters thrown in.

Maybe this is their way of trying to make SC popular again.

In which case, why not do a full-blown cross-over?
I get the idea they started this as SC4, noticed a lack of buzz. Stuck in the bonus characters, noticed lots of internet “wtf”ing, decided to play to that. Which is a bit rubbish for people who actually like SC, tbh.

I still want it, but I think the Star Wars thing’s just weird. I’ll never be bothered to get good with any of the Star Wars characters because they’re just completely removed from the game’s normal style.

I wonder what Namco got for selling their souls? Some extra sales seems pretty cheap really.

Ugh, they look horrendous!
I couldn’t give a stuff about Star Wars, it’s like an abominable virus that I’m witnessing cheapening one of my favourite franchises. This is one time that I’m THANKFUL for separate publishing arms, because hopefully, we won’t get this rubbish representing the evolution of Soul Calibur. The Japanese can keep all that, and no mistake! >:(
