European releases – week ending Friday, May 9

Sunday, 4th May 2008 19:12 GMT By Patrick Garratt

Steven Spielberg’s Boom Blox goes on sale for Wii this week in an otherwise subdued release list fro Europe.

There are no PS3 games out at all this Friday, and only Cobra 11 – Crash Time to keep you company on 360 if you’re one of the few not currently obsessed by GTA IV.

Apollo Justice – Ace Attorney comes to DS (hooray!) and PSP and PC both get Iron Man.

Wii RPG fans get Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors or DQS: TMQatToM as we like to call it.

Nothing else of note really, unless you’re the sort of person who like musical adventure games and Disney’s High School Musical.

Check out the full list below courtesy of Gameplay.

Play have Disaster – Day of Crisis down for 27/06/2008!

It’s being pushed out with little fanfare (which is never a good sign) if it is due this week, which is a shame as I thought it looked really promising.

I’ll probably grab Boom Blox though, although it’s a real shame they removed the head tracking feature.

These online retailers are a tricky one. If you check, there are 16 games released on Friday for the PC…

Still, they could be right on Disaster.

In fact, looking further, I don’t even think there is a firm release date for Disaster at all.

Oh no, Blerk’s gonna kill me!

Disaster’s definitely not coming out this week, and I’d be very surprised if it’s out in June. It’s out in Japan in July, and probably won’t hit the US and Europe until after E3, when Nintendo is announcing its schedule for the rest of the year.
