Grant Morrison wants to make a game, no one listens
According to this MTV story, comics genius Grant Morrison – Arkham Asylum, Doom Patrol, The Invisibles, God knows what else – is keen on making a game but no one’s picking up the phone.
“Ever since I started talking about [games], no one’s called me,” he said.
Someone. Call him. For Christ’s sake.

Rebellion should give him a ring and make a Zenith game.

“Rebellion should give him a ring and make a Zenith game.”
Don’t tease me! The Zenith series is the greatest comic super-hero series EVAH! That opening with the contrast between the newsreel of Maximan beating back the hun after D-Day and the showdown with Masterman in Berlin is utter, utter genius.

I read comic genius as comedy genius.

Oh, right – “comics” rather than “comic”. I see. Now I know precisely why I’ve got no idea who he is.

I’ve added an “s” for clarity

Must be it. Can see EA acquisitions guy sitting there in tears, thumping the desk, screaming for “Morrison’s digits”.

“and the showdown with Masterman in Berlin is utter, utter genius” the “punchline” to that was pretty damn shocking when it happened too.

Morrison and Rebellion have been in dispute for several years over the ownership of Zenith – iirc, he got an injunction preventing the publishing of a Complete Zenith collection – so the chances of a Zenith game seem fairly remote, unfortunately.

It’s the thought that counts.
