No games BAFTAs in 2008
GI.biz is reporting that the BAFTA Video Games Awards have been pushed back until 2009 in order to “facilitate a more effective judging process.”
Last year’s awards were marred with difficulties as some titles had to be judged before completion. The extra time will give the panel enough space in which to adequately assess ’08s releases, aparently.
The date of the next ceremony is March 10, 2009.

Why? Why did they *have to be* judged before completion? Why not just… y’know… only accept games THAT ARE ACTUALLY FINISHED AND ON THE SHELVES into your stupid awards ceremony? Or is that being too sensible?

more effective judging process – ie they’re going to get whelks to pick the winners.
It’d certainly be a more effective method than whatever the hell they used last year.
