Videogamer.com has retracted the August 29 date it posted for the Wii, PS2 and PS3 versions of the European Rock Band last night, saying it’s contacted EA and was told the info was incorrect. From the site:

VideoGamer.com earlier contacted EA regarding the date following the presence of an August 29 release date on a Rock Band fact sheet.

EA’s confirmation has now been retracted. The publisher telling VideoGamer.com that the European release date for Rock Band on PS3, Wii and PS2 “isn’t confirmed, and is on the factsheet in error”.

All EA is willing to confirm is a “later this summer” date, which is back where we started.

  • Halo logo shown in place of UN's during BBC report

A bit of a wince and a giggle out of the UK to kick the morning off; during a report on the ongoing struggles in Syria, BBC News accidentally flashed Halo’s UNSC logo in place of the United Nation’s. Naturally it was captured and YouTubed; check it out through the break.
