White Gamecube controller for Wii out this month in Japan
Nintendo is releasing a brand new, ‘Wii-white’ Gamecube controller later this month, according to QJ.net.
The new pad is exactly the same as its blue cousin apart from the fact that it’s white and has a three metre cable.
An exact release date is unknown. The Wii Gamecube controller will sell for ¥ 2,000 (US$ 20).

Would a wireless version just not have been a better idea all round?

Why did they even bother to invent the classic controller? Why didn’t they just stick a ‘Wii’ badge on these and re-release them back then? In fact, why didn’t they stick one in the box with the damn console?

It’s a bit rubbish, isn’t it? I hated the way you were forced to buy more stuff just to be able to play the games properly.

How many different controllers does the Wii actually have now, counting plastic ‘enhancers’? For a machine which was supposed to have a controller which was simple enough for anyone to use, it isn’t half complicated.

Are we including those third party tennis racket and lightsaber ones? If so, at least 7.

Stop criticising the Wii. It has outsold everything and is therefore untouchable.

Wow, now they’re not even bothering anymore to hide the fact that they’re selling us the same console over again.

How lazy. Why not let us use the Classic Controller, or at least sell wave birds. How funny that this is announced amidst a flurry of XWaggle rumours.
