May 2 release date rumoured for DualShock 3 in Europe

According to this Dutch PlayStation site, DualShock 3 will be released in Europe on May 2.

The site references “a reliable source” but no more information is given.

As rumours go, this one’s plausible due to the fact that MGS4 is released a month later and uses the new pad’s funtionality, but don’t go holding your breath just yet.

Unless they’ve magically sold 5 million Sixaxis in the last 2 weeks, I doubt it.

What do you mean? Have they recently shipped some ‘sixaxes’ to Europe or something?

It’s got to happen sooner or later. And getting it out in time for MGS4 makes a lot of sense.

All they need to do is drop the price of the Sixaxis by about £5-10 or so and I’m sure they’ll find plenty of buyers for any unsold Sixaxis stock they’ve got sitting around.
